OUR SCHOOL YARD

Ivan Runion 13

Our schoolyard is located about one fourth of a mile north of Cootes Store on a beautiful hill. There are about two acres of ground in the yard.

It has but one entrance and that is on the west side of the yard. It has a wire fence on the north and east and an old rail fence on the south.

There is no water on the grounds, but there is a spring on the west side which furnishes us excellent water. There are four trees, which are nearly dead. There is some grass on the yard and no walks or flowers.

The schoolhouse stands about the center of the ground. On the south side are many beautiful cedar trees.
