THE LAND OF THIS COMMUNITY

Less C. Runion 11

Most of the up land of this community is rough and hilly. The lowland lies along the Shenandoah River and other smaller streams is level or slightly rolling.

Most of the land that is level and some that is hilly is cleared and is under cultivation. The land that is very steep and rocky is not cleared but furnishes large quantities of wood and lumber to the people of this section as well as other sections of the community.

Most of the cleared land yields valuable crops of wheat and corn as well as all kinds of vegetable products. The upland yields abundant crops of fruit.
