Gap Rock and Shenandoah River

MY WALK TO SCHOOL

Muriel V. Lam, 13

To get to my school in time for the morning exercise, I must leave my home about seven o’clock.

I have four miles to walk and have to cross one large stream of water, five times. The crossings being very close together. I walk about one mile before I pass any home. I must walk three miles before I get to the pike.

I see many interesting things going and coming from school. I pass Chimney Rock, and Gap Rock, which are both wonderful in their structure.
