1855 Cootes from Winfield Family Matters 3

Rockingham Co. DB 28:370 1855

December 14th in the year of 1855………………..For and in consideration of………of certain properties or their right title and interest………..ade by Samuel Cootes and Paulina his wife to………ild the principal in this obligation therefore……….ting of a negro man names Sam a negro …………be delivered into the posession of the Sa…………..1856 and a negro boy named Bil………………entitled to in any property wither real or person or mixed belonging to the estate of Thomas Swift decd or Mrs. Swift his relict, the father and mother of Mrs. Cootes we.…………the said Cootes and wife are now entitled or may hereafter by any act become entitled to said property in any capacity or relation whatever wither as heirs devisees legatees distributees or in any other character and for the further consideration that the said Cootes will pay or can…. to be paid and has executed his bond with security the sum of thirteen hundred dollars to the said Jno Q Winf…………payable in cash or good and available bonds one year………after the death of either the said Cootes or his wife whi……….ever event shall first occur. The said John Q. Winfield principal in the obligation and Richard Winfield as his security bind themselves in the event the said Mrs. Cootes………shall survive her husband the said Saml Cootes to pay………………..her from the date of the death of the said Cootes until………….death annually the interest upon the value on the rents f……..any of the property conveyed as above mentioned which ever sh……..come to the said Winfield best by the said Cootes and………..to the said Winfield which may have come into the p……ion of the said Winfield before or at the period of the…….of Mr. Cootes to the exclusive use benefit and behoof of said Mrs. Cootes and if any of the property above me……….
